Best Restaurants in Piscataway, NJ

Piscataway in Middlesex County is one of New Jersey's oldest towns, formed in 1666, and today it's widely known as home to a big piece of Rutgers University. The Busch and Livingston campuses sit largely within the township, along with the stadium where the Scarlet Knights play football and the arena that hosts Rutgers basketball. Away from campus, Stelton Road is one of the township's main commercial corridors, with a mix of quick-service and sit-down restaurants, and I-287 and Route 18 make getting around by car simple.

There's no train station in Piscataway, but Raritan Valley Line trains stop in neighboring Dunellen and Northeast Corridor trains stop in Edison. NJ Transit buses run to Newark and to Manhattan's Port Authority Bus Terminal. For a taste of local history, the Metlar-Bodine House museum occupies a house whose oldest sections date to 1728.
